From January 1, 2026, proof of ownership of an original BMW ALPINA automobile must be provided in order to continue purchasing exclusive ALPINA CLASSIC lifestyle and merchandising items. This regulation does not apply to the parts and accessories section of the shop.
We would also like to point out that due to the closure over Christmas, the following rules apply:
All orders placed up to and including December 18, 2025 will be shipped before Christmas (depending on the country, we cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas). All orders placed after December 18, 2025, will not be shipped until January 7, 2026.

Due to popular demand, ALPINA's very first gear knob has been reissued 50 years after its development. Exactly according to the specifications of the original design with the item number 23 10 001, dated March 23, 1968, the gear knob – or gear button, as it was called at the time – is manufactured to the highest quality standards from the precious wood species Amazakoue. Each gear knob is made entirely from a single piece of wood. The Amazakoue wood, which comes from West Africa, is shaped, refined, and varnished in more than 15 steps after a six-week drying process in the Allgäu region. The ALPINA logo and the mounting insert are then assembled at the ALPINA factory in Buchloe. Drivers of classic car models can now enjoy a stylish replacement part in original quality.
