To make ALPINA automobiles distinguishable from a regular BMW in every situation, Burkard Bovensiepen and ALPINA graphic artist Robert Sinegger began drafting the ALPINA Deco-Set in 1974. Inspired by the then C4-Ski model from Fischer, the characteristic striped design was born, which - up to this day and in a modified form - adorns ALPINA automobiles. The stretching effect on the linehaul confers additional sportiness and elegance. As a tribute to this iconic ALPINA design element the Deco-Set is available in royal blue, bright green and silver as well as a combination of these colours. The set comes with a retro-style packaging including a toolset and assembly instructions, resembling the 1970's original.
Scope of Delivery:
6 ALPINA letterings 300mm (depending on the colour combination in silver or black)
12 left rhombs (6 of each colour in bicolour Deco-Sets)
12 right rhombs (6 of each colour in bicolour Deco-Sets)
8 long, slim stripes (4 of each colour in bicolour Deco-Sets)
4 broad stripes (2 of each colour in bicolour Deco-Sets)
Unicolour Deco-Sets contain two spare stripes of each part, bicolour Deco-Sets contain one spare stripe of each colour.
A roll of golden stripes, 50m long and 3mm broad, for outlining the set is available separately.
